Officers from the Dunlap Police Department and Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Department are pursuing an individual on foot, according to a Sheriff’s Department Facebook post Tuesday morning, March 3. Five Dunlap residents were charged by authorities who reportedly found substances believed to be drugs, plus several weapons in a vehicle. Drivers urged to be aware of possible black ice

Black ice, a transparent coating of ice displaying the color of the surface below, is a threat tonight, said Sequatchie County Emergency Management Director Winfred Smith. He encouraged drivers to slow down and stay off the road if possible. Rain throughout the day could freeze with the temperature dropping, Smith added.
