Cooper Lee Juntunen

Cooper Lee Juntunen, 21, of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Cooper was a graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School, Class of 2023. Affectionately known as “Big Coop,” his personality was larger than life. He loved four-wheeling, fishing, and spending time with his friends. Cooper had a way of making every room brighter with his smile, laughter, and infectious energy. He was the kind of person everyone wanted to be around, a loyal friend, a source of joy, and someone who genuinely made life better for those who knew him. Cooper never met a stranger. He had a gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and loved. While he cherished his many friendships, nothing compared to the fierce love he had for his mother, Stephanie. His devotion to his family and friends was evident in everything he did.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Cynthia Gann, and grandfather, John Juntunen.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving mother, Stephanie Gann; father, Thomas Juntunen; brother, Jacob Juntunen and his fiancée, Sienna Skelton; grandfather, Richard Gann; grandmother, Patricia Juntunen; uncles, Ricky (Christy) Gann, Kevin Gann, Ronnie (Rachel Brock) Gann, and Johnny (Renee) Juntunen; along with several cousins, extended family members, and an enormous circle of friends.

While it would be impossible to name every friend Cooper loved, each one held a special place in his heart. Though Cooper will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, his memory, laughter, and spirit will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends. “Long Live Big Coop.”

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Ewton Funeral Home & Cremation Center is honored to serve the family of Cooper Lee Juntunen. Family and friends are invited to share their memories and condolences online.
