Mitchell Lynn Weir

Mitchell Lynn Weir, 73, of Dayton, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026.

He was born and raised in Cleveland, Tennessee and attended Cleveland High School where he played football alongside his brother, Ronnie.

Mitchell worked as a painter for TVA for many years and served as the business agent for the Chattanooga Painters Local Union.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Parker and Estella Harrison, and Hubert and Hobert Weir; parents, Luther and Christine Weir; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Weir; stepdaughters, Dondra Walling and Michelle Collier; brother, Ronnie Weir (Judy); sister, Muriel Green (Pete); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Mitchell’s life is being planned for a future date.
