Give a Kid a Chance, a drive-thru event providing free backpacks filled with school supplies and resources for students, returns Friday, July 24. The event is set for 9:00 a.m. to noon at Harris Park, 245 Cedar Street, Dunlap. The effort is an initiative by the Sequatchie County Health Department and Sequatchie County Health Council. On Sunday, July 26, a back-to-school event is set at the Sequatchie County-Dunlap Chamber of Commerce from 1:00-5:00 p.m., with free haircuts, plus food, school supplies, and clothing while supplies last.
