A truck driver from New York left the scene with what were termed minor injuries after his vehicle overturned on Cagle Mountain, according to a report by the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP).
On May 14 at 5:29, Yunus Zeydan, 27, was driving south on Highway 111 on the mountain, THP reported. He failed to negotiate a curve to the left in his 2018 Freightliner, went off the right side of the highway, crossed back over the center and again to the right, before overturning.
Volunteers from Cagle Volunteer Fire Department (CVFD) were among several emergency personnel responding.
CVFD crews arrived to find the truck overturned with a fuel leak present, reporting minor injuries to the driver.
Other departments assisting were Puckett EMS, Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee Department of Transportation, and Griswold Wrecker Service.
