Iva “Joyce” Frizzell Raines, 86, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026.
She loved spending time with her family, singing and listening to music, decorating for the holidays and reading. She also enjoyed plants and flowers, collecting elephant figurines and playing with her dog “Bo”.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Joe B. Raines; parents, Albert and Nell Frizzell; sons Greg Nance and Donald Raines; brothers Jim, Donnie and Barry Frizzell; and her sister Peggy Benson.
She is survived by her sons Joe (Edwina) Raines Jr., David Raines; daughter-in-law, Cathy Nance; siblings Ramah Carmack, Judy (Jake) Smith, Linda (Stanley) Hartman, Tina Worley, Terry (Rhonda) Frizzell, Bob Frizzell, Dale (Janice) Frizzell; grandchildren, Rocky Nance, Deanna Nance, Susan Layne, Sheena Rhodes, Brad Raines, Tamara Jackson, Tori Shell, David Lee Raines, and Clarissa Raines; and great grandchildren Eve, Seth, Megan, Landon, Alecia, Spencer, Sydney, Kendall, Mason, Harper, Aspen, Charleigh, Noah, Bella, River, Declan, Maddox, Luke, David Lee Jr., Gabby, and Doni.
Funeral services for Mrs. Iva Joyce Frizzell Raines will take place Wednesday May 13, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ewton Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Darrell Evans to officiate. Family will receive friends Tuesday, May 12, from 4:00-8:00 p.m.
