Last fall, Sequatchie County High School took on South Pittsburg in the Chattanooga CW Rivals game of the week on area TV. SCHS’s participation led to a $5,000 scholarship being awarded to senior Harrison Smith.
Smith was named the Chattanooga Allergy Clinic’s Friday Night Rivals Scholar Athlete of the Year, selected from hundreds of players participating in the weekly games last week.
At SCHS, the son of Nathan and Stephanie Smith ranks in the top 10 of his class while being involved in numerous community and church projects.
Smith is a member of the Indian football and basketball teams and earned TFCA Class 3A All-State in both his junior and senior seasons, helping the team into the playoffs. As a defensive lineman, he had 17 tackles for loss plus 10 sacks in 12 games in 2025.
The senior is currently considering several options to continue his education and football career.
