One killed, one severely injured in plane crash

The pilot of a Piper J-3 Cub was killed and his passenger severely injured when the plane crashed in a field on Ridge Road in Dunlap on Tuesday, June 24, reports Dunlap Police Chief Randy Phillips. Wendall Trimble, 79, passed away from injuries sustained, while Ashish Sircar, 55, of Jacksonville, Florida, received serious injuries, he said. Chief Phillips added, Sircar, while receiving serious injuries, was expected to survive.
