Hall, Shadrick among top writers

Mellanie Faith Hall, a Sequatchie County High School student, and Sharon Shadrick, a writer and retired educator, each were honored at the Tennessee Mountain Writers Conference and 36th annual banquet in Oak Ridge April 5.

Hall earned second in the Student Prose category with her novel excerpt, WonderHealth INC, explained teacher and writer Natalie Kimbell.
