Escaping to be released this summer

Sequatchie County resident Blaine Layne, working with a talented cast and crew of about 21 members, is releasing the film Escaping this summer.

“This has been a domino effect process,” Layne explained. “Cody McCarver, Aaron Lanegan, and I have wanted to work together on a film project for years. We looked at a full feature movie I had written called War Trophy, which is a film dealing with a war hero, who was trafficked in the Middle East, returning home and finding his small town America has been overrun with the cartel and sex trafficking. We decided the budget was too expensive to be our first film together.”
