General settled family farmland in 1820
The Stone Creek Farm, located in the Daus community of Sequatchie County, is rich in history. Family members explained its origins to visitors at the farm during a presentation marking the farm’s Heritage status recently.
“General William Stone settled here on this land around 1820,” explained family member Allen Jones. “The rock wall built then (running along a section of West Valley Road) is still standing.”
