Heritage Farms preserving history

Though the temperature was down and conditions were windy and wet, a good crowd gathered at the Hamilton-Condra Farm off East Valley Road on March 1 for the Sequatchie County Heritage Farm Kickoff. Family farms operating at least 100 years are being honored through the program.

“This is what farmers go through, having to get up and work the fields and feed the animals no matter what the weather is that morning,” said Heritage Farm committee member John Harmon, addressing those present. “Then they get up and do it the next day.”
