Speeding on West Valley a concern

Drivers on West Valley Road, some appearing to at least double the 30 MPH limit, are a danger, residents of the area told Dunlap City Commissioners last week. The discussion was part of the regular meeting of the Commission on June 17.

Jim Dearman said he and his family have lived in many places and would not want to be anywhere else, but added something must be done to slow drivers down.

“The speed limit is not being observed and it appears to be reckless driving, at least 30 miles per hour above the posted limit,” Dearman said. “There are many elderly people here, me included, and children playing at the park.”
