Kayakers rescued from swift-moving river waters

Several kayakers enjoying the day on the Sequatchie River May 2 had to be helped from the waterway, according to the Dunlap Fire Department (DFD) reports. The rescue operation took place near the Highway 127 bridge, Chief Norman Hatfield said.

Chief Hatfield explained the kayakers were traveling the river south, just past the 127 bridge, where the river splits.
