The Sequatchie County Election Commission office was busy on the first day of early voting for the General Election and Primary, July 17, with 194 early and absentee vote recorded. The following day, Saturday, July 18, and on Monday, 177 more cast ballots. Voters are making their selection for Sequatchie County Sheriff and Sequatchie County Commissioners in local contested races, plus other positions in the county. They are also voting in the State Democratic and Republican Primary. Early voting continues to August 1, and is from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. The General Election/State Primary is August 6 at precincts around the county.
