A single vehicle wreck at a construction zone on Cagle Mountain took place on April 14, the Cagle Volunteer Fire Department (CVFD) reported. The wreck occurred on Highway 111 south of the Dollar General store.
Firefighters arrived at the scene at approximately 9:00 p.m., finding the rollover wreck, the report stated. All occupants were outside of the vehicle with no entrapment.
CVFD was told by witnesses, the vehicle struck temporary barriers in the construction zone and overturned. The Tennessee Department of Transportation currently has roadwork underway.
Three individuals were medically evaluated at the scene, the report continued. The northbound lane on the highway was closed until cleanup was concluded.
Others responding included Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Highway Patrol, which is investigating the wreck.
CVFD representatives remind motorists to use caution in construction zones, especially after dark.
