The Dunlap Farmers Market at Harris Park had its highest number of vendors yet for opening day, April 4. Hundreds of visitors enjoyed the sunny weather from 9:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m., with some special added surprises.
Available for purchase at the market were eggs, fruits and vegetables, wood carvings, salsa and hot sauce, baked goods, artwork, lemonade and other refreshing drinks, unique gifts, and much more. Items are locally grown or handcrafted. Booths and tables spread from the pavilion to an area in front of the stage, down further along the park pathway.
The Easter Bunny hopped by giving eggs to young and older visitors. Some eggs contained treats and some had gift vouchers for the market.
Providing live music on opening day was David Mosher, Professor of Music Theory at Lee University and Covenant College.
The market is held each Saturday through October. Visit dunlapfarmersmarket.com or email [email protected] for information on setting up at the park.
