Carolyn Basham

Carolyn Basham, 86, of the Cartwright community, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Hearth Hospice Care Center of Chattanooga.

Carolyn was a loving grandmother and was retired from the Sequatchie County Middle School Cafeteria.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Basham; son, Steve Basham; parents, Herman and Arnie Cunningham; and brothers, Willie, Houston, and Herman Jr., and L.D. Cunningham.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Rodney) Selcer, Hixson; sons, Greg (Val) and Barry (Beth) Basham, both of Dunlap; daughter-in-law, Marlene Basham; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Smith, Dunlap; brother, Kenneth Cunningham, Dunlap; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 21 in the funeral home chapel.

Burial was in Condra Cemetery.
