Max Shane Mitchell
Max Shane Mitchell, 54, of Hoover, Alabama, formerly of Dunlap, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at his residence.
Shane was a 1989 graduate of Sequatchie County High School. His daughters would like you to know that he was the funniest man they ever met! He was known for his quick wit, his giving heart, his love of sports (especially the Atlanta Braves), his love of music and his knowledge of bands. Shane was a good friend and loved helping people.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary and Peggy Faulkner Mitchell; son, Randy Wade Mitchell; sister, Lisa Tate; and niece, Grace Mitchell.
Shane is survived by his daughters, Kaytlin (Blake) Cates, Shelby (Scooter) Clark and Zoe Mitchell; brother, Dusty (Jennifer) Mitchell; grandchildren, Zeke Cates, Kamryn Howard and Scott Clark; niece, Meredith Mitchell; and nephews, Austin, Brody and Cain Mitchell.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. No visitation will be held as it was Shane’s wishes to be cremated.
