Gregory Pickett

Gregory Pickett, 72, of Pikeville, Tennessee passed away Sunday, December 21, 2025 at home with his loving family by his side.

Greg was a faithful gospel minister for 50 years. He was a member of Pikeville Church of Christ, and a 1972 graduate of Whitwell High School. Greg graduated from the Memphis School of Preaching and the Tennessee Bible College. He also made three missionary trips to India.

He was a devoted husband who enjoyed card games and taking trips in his side-by-side.

Gregory was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Peggy Tuders Pickett; mother-in-law, Warner Redmond Cagle.

Gregory is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Cagle Pickett; sisters, Rosa (Vernell) Powell, Donna Pickett; brother, Landon (Cindy) Pickett; father-in-law, Billy Cagle; aunts, Sue, Christine, and Gail; uncle, Jay; seven nieces and nephews; cousins; and a host of friends.

A celebration of life was held at 2:00 p.m. CST Tuesday, December 23, in the Pikeville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tony Britt officiating. Burial was in the Pikeville City Cemetery. The family received friends at 10:00am until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
