Garen Andrew Hobbs

Garen Andrew Hobbs, 26, of Dunlap, Tennessee passed away Monday, December 8, 2025 in Memphis, Tennessee where he was living and working as a Class II Welder for Steel Pro Manufacturing. Garen loved being a welder and was an avid motorcycle rider.

Garen was a proud member of Whitten Baptist Church in Memphis where he was active in the church Warrior program that is a faith based recovery group. He was also active in the church’s MMA training group. Garen had a way of always making people feel better, he wasn’t afraid to share his faith and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Garen was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leo and Martha Ann Hobbs and Clara Cain.

He is survived by his loving parents, Gary (Stephanie) Hobbs and Jeanette (Tracy) Cain Pursley; grandfather, Wayne Cain; brothers, Seth and Evan; step sisters, Shiann (Brett Baker) Stockwell and Kirklyn Stockwell; uncle, Travis Cain; aunts, Wanda Ballard, Becky (Todd) Brown and Brenda (John) Finley along with many cousins.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 15, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ewton Funeral Home with Bro. Eugene Kilgore and Gary Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow in Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m..
