Doris Irene Stockwell

Mrs. Doris Irene Stockwell, 78, of the Cagle Community, passed away Tuesday March 18, 2025, at her home.

She was born in Crossville, Tennessee on April 28, 1946, to Dan Houston and Dorothy Hubbard Houston Cole who preceded her in death along with her son, Timothy Stockwell; brother, David Cole.

She attended the Bivens Chapel Methodist Church until her health declined.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin Stockwell; sons, Troy Stockwell, Shawn Stockwell and Chase Stockwell; twin sister, Delores (Late Richard) Simmons, sister, Debbie (Joe) Morgan; brother, Dewayne (Gloria) Cole; grandchildren, James, Bradley (Bree), Cameron and Colton Stockwell; great grandson, Bennett Stockwell; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. March 22 in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Crow Rollins and Larry Campbell officiating. Burial to followed in the Stockwell Family Cemetery.

Layne Funeral Home in Palmer was entrusted with arrangements.
