Darrel Layne Carr

Darrel Layne Carr, 76, of Whitwell, Tennessee passed away Monday, October 28, 2024 at his residence.

Darrel was a man of his word. He was always on time wherever he was going. He loved to hunt and fish, he never complained and was always a happy man. He loved old cars, especially Fords.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benton and Dean Layne Carr; wife, Mattie Ann Layne Carr; brothers, Dwain Carr, Lonnie Carr, and baby brother, Michael; grandson, Zachary Aaron Carr; and great-grandson, Ezra Phoenix Gilbert.

He is survived by his children, Jimmy D. Carr and Regina Parks; siblings, Frankie (Charles) Johnson, Rickey (Vickie) Carr, Pat Carr, Donna Newman and Mitchell (Debbie) Carr; grandchildren, Bobby (Holly) Parks, Kelsie Gilbert, John Connor (Rachel) Parks, Jesse Garren Carr and McKenlie Carr; great-granddaughter, Marley Parks; along with several nieces and nephews.

A private family burial was held at Bryant Cemetery.
