James Stanley Barker

James Stanley Barker, 76, of Dunlap, Tennessee passed away Monday, May 20, 2024 at his home.

Stanley was a member of Chapel Hill Methodist Church, and Veteran of the Vietnam War where he served in the United States Army. He was also an avid drag racer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Mary Ellen Barker; and brothers, Wayne and Jerry Barker.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Barker; daughter, Christa (Jeremy) Bradford; two sons, Garrett Barker and Corey (Christie) Barker; four grandchildren, Griffin (Payton) Barker, Ethan Barker, Emma and Carter Bradford; two great-grandchildren, Greyson and Gentry Barker; niece, Sherry (Shayne) Bickford; great-nephews, Jared and Drew Barker; step-daughter, Tammy Chapman and her children, Connor, Joey and Preston Chapman.

The family would like to thank his special caregivers, Mary Lu Brown, Lynn Henson Harmon, and nurse Paige Scott with Hearth Hospice.

Funeral services were held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, May 23, with Rev. Tom Tucker officiating. Burial was in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
