Billy Joe Pursley

Billy Joe “Perk” Pursley, age 79, of Dunlap, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Erlanger Sequatchie Valley. He attended the Light House Baptist Church, was an avid football fan and was a well known home builder. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Kilgore Elder; parents, Charley Jack and Una Pursley; and brothers, Harold and Toby Pursley. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Pursley; daughter, Teresa (Rob) Swafford of Crossville; four sons, Dewayne (Shannon), Darryl (Amber Boston), Dwight (Kim) Pursley and Dylan Elder; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Emma Allen of Covington, Georgia, and Georgia James of Soddy-Daisy; three brothers, Charles Pursley of Ringgold, Georgia, Albert and Jackie Pursley both of Dunlap; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday, November 21 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Lanny Tate and Bro. James Louallen officiating. Burial was in Rankin Cemetery.
