Willene Simmons

Willene Simmons, 77, of Pikeville died Wednesday,  November 11, 2015 at Cumberland Medical Center. 

She was of the Christian faith, worked at Sequatchie Shirt Factory, was a waitress at Agee’s Restaurant and the owner of Simmons Drive-In and Simmons Café.  She was also a cook at Wheeler Elementary School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sampson Simmons; parents, Mark and Leona Lewis; brother, Marshall Lewis; and great-grandson, Lucas Riley DeBord.

Survivors include her children, Carol (Ray) DeBord, Marie (Jimmy) Lawson and Roger Simmons; grandchildren, Roy Clay (Sarah) DeBord Jr., James (Una) DeBord, Crystal (Mike) Podwys and Melissa Parker; great-grandchildren,  Dylan, Harley, Carson, Shawn, Landon, Perry, Sawyer and Amelia; sister, Barbara (Cleo) Turner of Crossville; brother, Jerry (Jean) Lewis; sister-in-law, Roma Lewis of Dunlap; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 14 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ken Norris officiating. Burial was in Blackburn Cemetery.
