Peggy Hobbs Mathis, 81, of Dunlap, passed away, Monday, August 24, 2015.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Dunlap were she enjoyed fixing flowers and volunteering at the food pantry for several years. She was also an avid quilter and expert seamstress.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Mathis; parents, Alton and Winnie Lockhart Hobbs; and brothers, Jimmy and Hugh Donald Hobbs.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Gayle (Steve) Baxley of Russellville, Arkansas, Donna (Howard) Ewton of Dunlap and Penny (Michael) Oates of Evans, GA; grandchildren, Tabetha Ewton, Danielle Shoemate, Daniel (Crystal) Ewton, Joshua Baxley, Jeremy (Krysten) Baxley, and Holden Usherwood; great-grandchildren, Baylee, Ian, Danika, Dane, Hannah, and Molly.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 27 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jeremy Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Rankin Cemetery.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, August 26 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.
