Jerry Hooks

Mr. Jerry Oliver Hooks, 98, of Dunlap, passed away at his home Saturday, July 25, 2015. 

Retiring with 20 years service in the US Air Force, he fought with the Army Air Coprs during WWII and also fought in the Korean war. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Della Irene Austin Hooks; parents, Max and Mae Johnson Hooks; son, Ross Milton Hooks; step-children, Minnie Doris Buford, Robert Byron Stockwell, and Harold E. Stockwell; grandsons, Nathan Thomas Narramore and Daniel Aaron Narramore.

Survivors include his wife, Pollie Griffin and her son, Kenneth Griffin, of Dunlap; daughter, Charlotte Ann (Thomas) Narramore; son, Jerry Franklin (Krys) Hooks, both of Dunlap; step-son, Billy Joe Stockwell, of Dunlap; adopted children, Billy Stockwell and Cynthia Stockwell, of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Maxine Ramey, her children, Sharon and Bruce, of Jacksonville, Alabama; granddaughters, Rachel Irene Hooks and Sarah Jeriel Hooks, of Falling Waters, West Virginia, Alyssa Marie Narramore, of Dunlap, Tamara and Debbie of Dunlap, and Jennifer of Florida.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 28 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jeremy Byrd officiating. Burial was in Pope Cemetery.
