Janice Baskett
Janice June Hitchcock Baskett, 78, of Dunlap died at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga on Sunday, June 28, 2015 after a brief illness.
Mrs. Baskett was born in Sequatchie County on January 24, 1937. She was a member of Ewtonville Baptist Church, DAV Auxiliary and Gold Star Wives.
She was preceded in death by parents, Willis and Ola Mae Hatfield Hitchcock; and siblings, Joyce, Judy, Janie, Garrett, and Olean.
Survivors include her sons, Steve (Cheryl) Elder, Virginia, Stewart (Carol) Elder, Michigan, and Scott Elder, Florida; daughter, Sylvia Elder, Florida; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, June 30 at Ewtonville Baptist Church with Bro. Brian Kearns officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Ewtonville Baptist Church Senior Program.
