Hal Grissom

Hal Truman Grissom, 65, of Dunlap passed from this life on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at NHC Health Care Sequatchie in Dunlap.

Hal was born on August 16, 1949 in Spencer. He was the son of Morgan Grissom and Pauline Delong Grissom.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Paul Grissom; and three sisters, Lottie B. Roberts, Helen Hillis Bouldin and Jennifer Grissom.

Surviving are his son, Joey Grissom and Rebecca of Spencer; daughter, Shannon Ferguson and Josh Keener of Spencer; four grandchildren, Jordan and Lavetta Grissom, Tiffany Grissom, Mason Grissom and Lashay Kirby, all of Spencer; four great-grandchildren, Mayah Grissom, Sadie Grissom, Jayden and William Ramsey, all of Spencer; three sisters, Charlene Bouldin, Mildred Walling, and Bernice Denney Martin, all of Spencer; and special longtime friends, Scott Siler and Tommy and Martha Austin, all of Dunlap.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 26 in the funeral home chapel with Wayne Sullivan officiating. Burial was in Shockley Cemetery in Spencer.
