D. Wayne Riden, 81, of Signal Mountain died Wednesday morning, February 27, 2013 at Standifer Place Healthcare.
He was a member of Signal Mountain Church of Christ, was retired from TVA, loved woodworking, photography and painting. He also served in the United States Air Force and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Martha Riden; two sisters, Luzell Walker and Marie Wall; and three brothers, Amos, Warren and Carey Riden.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor P. Riden; two sons, Jeffrey W. Riden of Signal Mountain and Kendall (Tammy) Riden of Charleston; grandchildren, Ashley Riden, Haley (Mark) Heier and Brayden Riden; one great-grandson, Boston Heier; three sisters, Maggie Penney of Joliet, Illinois, Virginia Vandiver of Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia and Sara Riden of Alabama; three brothers, Ivan (Peggy) Riden of Harrison, Harold Riden of Mississippi and William Riden of Hixson; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held Friday, March 1 at Signal Mountain Church of Christ.
