Matthew Lofty

Matthew “Matt” Lofty, 27, of Soddy Daisy died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at his home. He was of the Church of God faith.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Willie Higdon; and great-grandmother, Mary Rutledge.

He is survived by his mother, Roxann and step-dad, Warren Luetke of Soddy Daisy; father, Mark and step-mother, Cathy Lofty; sister, Deedra (Brian) Powell of Dunlap; brothers, Rick Webb II of Soddy Daisy and Zechary Lofty of Crossroads; grandparents, Gene and Jean Layne of Whitwell; great-grandmother, Josephine Higdon of Dunlap; aunt, Dawn Luetke of Crossroads; three uncles, Rocky, Will and Ralph Layne of Whitwell; niece, Cailyn Powell; several cousins and special friend, Felicia Guy.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 1 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. James Dunn and Rev. Mark Woody officiating. Burial was in Hoodenpyle Cemetery.
