William Herbert Cunningham, 97, of Dunlap died in a Chattanooga hospital, Saturday, March 5, 2011.
He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Ewtonville Baptist Church. He was a retired saw miller and farmer.
His parents, Robert Lee and Ada Belle Ewton Cunningham; wife, Dorothy Johnson Cunningham; son, Henry Cunningham; grandson, Jimmy Smith; brothers, J.D., Dan, George Lee and Homer Cunningham; and sister, Ruby Harmon, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Nickey (Patsy) Cunningham of Dunlap; daughter, Jeanette Smith of Dunlap; sisters, Mary Francisco of Cordova and Minnie Mae Combs of Kingsport; brothers, Howard Cunningham and Hershel Cunningham of Dunlap; grandchildren, Barbara (James) Isham, Nicola (Mike) Jones, Nicholas (Jennifer) Cunningham; great-grandchildren, Michael Jones, Madison Swanger, Ron Isham, Landon Cunningham; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 8 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Brian Kearns officiating.
Burial was in Johnson-Lewis Cemetery.
