Harry Lee Prentice

    Harry Lee Prentice, 85, of the New Hope community near Dunlap died at his home, Tuesday, November 30, 2010. He was caretaker of Chapel Hill Cemetery for over 30 years.

    He was preceded in death by his first wife, Valine Johnston Prentice; second wife, Octa Johnston Prentice; and sons, Harry Lee Prentice, Jr. and James Prentice.

    Survivors include his daughters, Lula Perry of Dunlap, Clara Prentice of Gruelti-Laager and Margaret Hall of Pikeville; son, Horace Prentice of Dunlap; sister, Mary Lou Dill of Jasper; four grandchildren, Dennis, Whitney, Candi and Chase; one great-grandson, Blake; and several nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services were held Friday, December 3 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Justin Griffin officiating.

    Burial was in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
