Idell S. Payne

    Idell S. Payne, 86, of Dunlap, died Thursday evening, August 20, 2009 at Parkridge Medical Center. She was a member of the Dunlap First Baptist Church and taught school in the Sequatchie County School System for 45 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of several teacher organizations and was preceded in death by her husband, John Payne in 2004.
    She is survived by two grandchildren, Chris Payne of Chattanooga and Cindy Payne Wood of Huntsville, Alabama; two sisters, Lorene Seals of Dunlap, and Anna Savage of Baxter; two great-grandchildren Hannah and Brian Payne; one niece Linda Savage; five nephews, Gary Seals, Richard Savage Jr., Robert Savage, Michael Savage and Stephen Savage. Funeral Services were held August 23 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Randy Harmon officiating. Burial was in Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens.
