One defendant from out-of-state was bound over to the Grand Jury for reported drug offenses during Sequatchie County General Sessions Court on May 6, before Judge L. Thomas Austin.
Bound over on a charge of manufacture, sale, or delivery of meth was Ronald Lee Diorio. The defendant, from Gainesville, Georgia, was arrested on April 20 after police received a call of unwanted individuals at a residence. Meth and drug paraphernalia were reportedly found in a vehicle at the scene, and the next day more paraphernalia and a substance believed to be meth were found in a vehicle registered to Diorio. The suspect has a bond of $7,500.
Kenneth Sanders received an 11-month, 29-day suspended sentence on a charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was fined $150 plus court costs. A charge of driving on a revoked license against Sanders was dismissed.
Ordered to pay court costs on a charge of simple possession was Hayli Swanger.
Harley Maple received a six-month suspended sentence on a charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Maple was fined $150 plus court costs.
Bond was denied for Derek Goodsen, charged with aggravated assault and aggravated abuse of an elderly or vulnerable adult. A motion was made to revoke the defendant’s probation in Circuit Court, records state. Goodsen reportedly attacked a person while yielding a machete, striking a wheelchair.
Dakota Johnston had a bond of $5,000 set on charges of aggravated assault and domestic assault. The defendant is held without bond on separate charges in Dunlap City Court.
A bond of $1,000 was set for Kenneth Thacker, charged with two counts of aggravated assault and resisting arrest. The defendant is to wear an ankle monitor and have no contact with others involved. Thacker was on bond for a domestic assault charge, records state.
William Miller’s bond for manufacture, delivery, sell, or possession of a Controlled Substance was set at $7,500.
Charged with domestic assault, Christian Gage Millholland had a case continued six months. The defendant is to have no contact with others involved and will be dismissed if no further problems take place, court records stated.
Continued to May 15 were charges of maintaining a dwelling for drug purposes; unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia; and six total counts of sale, delivery, or manufacture of a Schedule II Controlled Substance against Hayden Rutherford. The defendant’s bond has been set at $50,000.
Charges of introduction of contraband into a penal facility, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of fentanyl, and possession of fentanyl for resale against Ryan Lee Ott were continued to June 11. The defendant’s bonds total $31,500.
Ernie Brooks is to return to court June 11 with an attorney or his bond of $4,500 will be revoked, court records state. He is charged with driving under the influence, disorderly conduct, Schedule VI drug violations, and reckless endangerment.
A charge of domestic assault against Carlos Linderman was dismissed due to lack of prosecution, court records state.
Dismissed was a charge of leaving the scene of an accident against Michael Johnson, who must pay court costs.
A charge of criminal trespass against Bobby Ewton is to be dismissed upon payment of court costs by June 30, court records state.
Dismissed was a charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia against Austin Estep, as no further problems took place since the date case was continued.
Dismissed was a charge of setting fire to personal property against Brandon Lee Kilgore.
