The splash pad at Harris Park, delighting children since its opening several years ago, is nearly ready for the warm season. Dunlap Mayor Dwain Land said a projected opening date is Wednesday, May 20, though the day is not set in stone.
“We’re planning on having it open around that time,” he said. “We know a lot of the parents are ready to bring their kids to the splash pad.”
Mayor Land added, supervision by parents at the splash pad is expected and appreciated.
“We want everyone to have fun and also to be safe there,” he said.
Also at the park, installation work continues on the new playground with its opening expected to be around July 4.
