Hamilton County Deputy Landon Faulkner, 24, passed away from injuries sustained in an April 8 wreck in Sequatchie County, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HSCO). The wreck took place on Highway 111 near Lewis Chapel Road.
A preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) indicated Faulkner was traveling south on Highway 111 in a 2020 Ford Explorer at 8:17 p.m. A 2015 GMC Sierra driven by 61-year-old Ronnie E. Hennessee was disabled in the left lane of the highway, the report continued, and the Explorer struck the Sierra. The THP noted Hennessee was not injured.
HCSO stated in a release Faulkner passed away from his injuries while being treated at a hospital.
Faulkner began working for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office in 2022, after serving as both a deputy and corrections deputy in Grundy County for almost three years. He also graduated from the Knoxville Police Department’s Explorer Cadet program in 2017.
He left a legacy as a organ donor, saving lives even in his passing, according to the HCSO.
The THP continues to investigating the wreck.
