The Sequatchie County Fair Association attended the Tennessee Association of Fairs Convention from January 15-18, winning first place for their premium book and third place in the quilt competition, along with the state merit award.
“A delegation of 12 members participated in breakout sessions focused on learning and skill development to improve future fairs,” said Association Treasurer Audrey Cagle. “Their success reflects a commitment to excellence and fosters community unity, celebrating local talents and crafts.”
Looking ahead, Cagle said, the local association aims to implement new ideas from the convention to enhance future events. The association invites interested individuals to join in preserving and enhancing the community’s cultural heritage with the Fair Association.
