    Veterans at the VA Hospital in Murfreesboro are greatly in need of new plain white T-shirts and bottled water. VFW Post 5772 and American Legion Post 190 in Dunlap are spearheading a drive and asking for support from the community. Shirt sizes needed are L-2X, crew neck or V-neck.     Benefit for Carrie Rodgers held November 4

    A benefit for Carrie Powell Rodgers will be held Sunday, November 4 from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Sequatchie County Rescue Squad. Rodgers, born and raised in the Sequatchie Valley and a 2001 graduate of Sequatchie County High School, was recently diagnosed with kidney failure and is awaiting surgery. There will be chili dogs, chips, drink and dessert served for $7 a plate. A silent auction is also planned, as well as baked goods for sale.
