    Training for Valley Fest Race to begin

       Valley Fest Road Race and Step Up Sequatchie are partnering together for the first installment of the Step Up Sequatchie Training Series, hosted by Matt Wallace, a certified endurance trainer. Community runs will be held twice a week during the month of April leading up to the Valley Fest Road Race. The runs are free to anyone who registers for the Valley Fest Race.     Valley Fest pageant returning

    The 2019 Valley Fest Pageant will be held Saturday, April 6 in the Sequatchie County High School auditorium. Entrant categories are ages birth through 16, 17 – 21, and 55 years and above.     BABS meeting planned

       BABS will be meeting on Monday, April 8 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fair building in Dunlap. Everyone is welcome to join our nonprofit group and participate in various crafting projects each month. This month’s project is huck weaving, also known as Swedish weaving. This is a form of embroidery worked on specific fabric to work the patterns on. Fabric and some patterns will be provided. A pot luck lunch will be served afterwards. T14

    Preschool screening day planned

    Preschool Screening Day will be held Friday, April 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for Sequatchie County children, ages three and four, at Griffith Elementary School (enter through breezeway near the old gym). Vision, hearing, motor, speech and developmental screenings will be given. Parents/guardians are to bring proof of residency (water or electric bill), birth certificate, social security card, shot record and physical on school form, and proof of income. T14S15
