    Dinner with the Doctor Jan. 8

         Dinner with the Doctor, Monday, January 8, begins with a delicious meal of three delicious winter soups, sandwich varieties, pita bread and hummus, and a tasty dessert. Following the meal, Mike Hollie, MD, will answer the question, “Why Do We Get Sick, and What We Can Do About It.” Participants will learn principles of health and how to fight off infections. Dr. Hollie will take questions at the end of the presentation. Everything is free and everyone is welcome.     Sequatchie Youth Association to meet

    The Sequatchie County Youth Association will be holding a meeting on Monday, January 8 at the John Griswold Recreation Park at 6:00 p.m. inside the concession stand complex. Please enter from the West Valley Road entrance. Items to be discussed will be the upcoming season and unfinished business. Anyone wishing to be involved in youth baseball or softball is strongly encouraged to attend any meeting being held. Any input and involvement would be greatly appreciated. T1

    Fundraiser at Daus community center

    A chili and soup supper will be held Saturday, January 13 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Daus Community Center. They will be serving hotdogs, chili, soup, drinks and dessert for $6 a plate.     Bluegrass Band to perform at New Hope Church

        New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church will be hosting the Bethel University Bluegrass Band on Sunday, January 28 at 10:30 a.m. This award-winning group from McKenzie, Tennessee will lead the worship service, followed by a soup and sandwich luncheon in the fellowship hall.
