Whether it be in a French bistro, a mom and pop diner or in your own mother’s kitchen, the story of the South’s food and drink traditions would be incomplete without paying homage to these local spots. The Designer Diner concept tells the story of this favorite meal in five Southern hubs, and the changing patterns in how Southerners eat, live and interact while also showcasing the South’s design aesthetic with five city-inspired designer vignettes.

    Babysitting Rocks is a curriculum designed for youth in grades 7 -12 to develop their skills in the field of child care. Topics covered will include the babysitter’s roles and responsibilities, behavior management techniques, problem solving, handling emergencies and first aid, communicating with parents and managing money. Classes will be offered June 7 -8 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Citizens Tri-County Training Room. Cost for the two-day workshop is $30.
