Library’s book sale to be held at fairgrounds
The Sequatchie County Friends of the Library semi-annual book sale opens to the public on Thursday, October 19 at a new location, the Sequatchie County Fairgrounds, 103 Heard Street. Sale hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The sale will also feature a silent auction including tickets to Dollywood and other local attractions. Paperback novels cost 50 cents each, hardback fiction and large print books are $1.00 each, and books for children and youth cost a quarter. Aside from fiction and books for younger readers, the sale includes reference and other books on subjects as diverse as gardening and war history. A sneak preview sale is open only to FOTL (Friends of the Library) members takes place Wednesday, October 18 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. A membership to FOTL ($5.00 individual membership and $10 family membership) is required for the sneak preview.
