Food preservation classes being offered

Food preservation classes are offered by the UT Extension Service and the next class is July 15. Participants will learn about jams, jellies, and pickling and cost is $20. Everyone goes home with a jar of jam and jar of pickles after the hand-on session. On September 9, a class for gifting items (apple relish and infused vinegars) is planned. Classes are at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church from 9:00 a.m. to noon. UT Extension provides equal opportunities in programs and employment.
