Boy Scout Troop 33 will host a fundraising breakfast on Saturday, March 9 from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Dunlap United Methodist Church to raise funds for summer camp. The Sequatchie Valley Master Gardeners and UT Extension will be hosting a Propagation Class on Saturday, March 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Dunlap United Methodist Church, 1958 Main Street. Carol Mathews, an accomplished master gardener, speaker, and leader for the Hamilton County Master Gardeners, and has presented numerous classes in the Chattanooga area, the Master Gardeners state convention and the Master Gardeners international convention, will be sharing her expertise and passion for propagation. On March 12, 2019, a Bledsoe and Sequatchie County Pond Management Field Day is being held at Perry Swafford’s Farm, near 6868 Lower East Valley Road in Pikeville (0.4 miles north of College Station Road). Aquatic weed management, fish sampling demonstration and stocking rates, pond sealing options and conservation programs are the topics to be discussed.
