Descendants of Mack and Minnie Harvey will hold their annual reunion on Saturday, August 25 at the home of Jerry and Betty Bookout (2627 Mowbray Road in Soddy Daisy). A covered dish lunch will be enjoyed around noon CST. All friends and relatives are invited.T34

The Summer Saturday Series of Food Preservation classes, offered by the UT Extension Service, will be held Saturdays, August 25 and September 15, at Sequachee Valley Electric from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Participants in the August class will learn about jams and pickling. Cost is $20. This is a hands-on class and participants will go home with a jar of strawberry-kiwi jam and a jar of sweet pickles. The September class is on gifting items (apple relish and infused vinegars). Registration deadline is August 22. Contact the UT Extension office at 949-2611 for further information. T32S33
