Jerry L. Hill

Jerry L. Hill, 86, of Dunlap, Tennessee passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026 at his home. He fought a great fight, but God needed him to come home.

Jerry was a 1958 graduate of Avondale High School. He was a great athlete, played football, baseball, bowled and played golf. He played Class A baseball at Jaycee Park in Pontiac, Michigan and enjoyed playing cards with his friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Georgia Hill; sisters, Sandy McCormick and Susie Sizemore; and brother, Dennis Hill.

He is survived by three daughters, Cheryl (Shahn) Masters and Shawnna (Michael) Benard, both of Oxford, Michigan and Alexis (Isiah Howell) Hill of Louisville, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Lanie (Spencer) Heartly and Logan (Sarah) Money; two great-grandchildren, Cassius and Memphis Heartly; two brothers, Roger “Doc” (Linda) Hill, Lapeer, Michigan and Robert (Marie) Hill, Auburn Hills, Michigan; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 27 at Word of Life Assembly of God with Rev. Ed Griffith officiating. Burial was in the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
