Paul S. Higgins

Paul S. Higgins, 60, of Rock Island, Tennessee, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026 at his residence.

Paul was a very giving and loving man. His pride and joy was his son, Danny. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and making fishing rods. Paul’s early work career began in the coal mines with his father, Dan Higgins. He would later work in maintenance for Top Flight for over 20 years and most previously was employed by the Sequatchie County Highway Department. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for South End Volunteer Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Lynn Adkins Higgins; father, Howard Daniel Higgins;  his grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.

Paul is survived by his son, Danny Higgins; mother, Marie Tate Higgins; brother, Eric (Liza) Higgins; sister, Danna Higgins; along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Whitwell.
