Drivers urged to be aware of possible black ice

Black ice, a transparent coating of ice displaying the color of the surface below, is a threat tonight, said Sequatchie County Emergency Management Director Winfred Smith. He encouraged drivers to slow down and stay off the road if possible. Rain throughout the day could freeze with the temperature dropping, Smith added.
